25th March 2008 - Staff appointments & announcements

Jan Johanson, Financial Manager, has been appointed to the Board of SRS. Effective immediately his new designation will be Financial Director.

Astrid Anderson, National Sales Manager, based at SRS Head Office has passed with distinction, a one year Marketing Management programme through UNISA. This programme has equipped Astrid to stay ahead with the marketing skills required to face today’s challenges.

Lucretia Petersen has been appointed Office Assistant, SRS Western Cape. She will be responsible for the processing of orders, follow-ups and queries.

 

 

 

 

 

6th March 2008 - SRS Expands

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Gauteng Branch office. The physical address is Unit 2B, Highway Gardens Office Park, Edenvale. The SRS Head Office is located in the same Office Park (Unit 8D) and due to growing staff numbers it became necessary to separate the Gauteng Branch function from the National function.

As such, Michael Masokoane, Regional Manager and his Sales and Merchandising team, together with the Administration and Ordering Departments, previously housed at Head Office have relocated to Unit 2B. The SRS Training Facility has also transferred to the new office and is now up-and- running.

Contact details for all personnel previously housed in the SRS Head Office remain the same.

 

6th March 2008 - Staff Appointments

In line with the Company’s policy of promotion from within, we are pleased to announce the following staff appointments :

  • Stephen Rakhubo, has been promoted to In-Store Representative – East Rand area.
  • Patrick Msimango has been promoted to Sales Representative – Gauteng Area. His responsibilities will include filling-in when sales staff go on leave.
  • Jackie van der Merwe, has been appointed Area Manager – Nelspruit, effective 1 February 08.
  • Henthea McDermott based at SRS Head Office assumes an additional role as Personal Assistant to Doug Cresswell, Managing Director and Andrew Bradford, Merchandising Director, effective 1 February 08.

 

6th March 2008 - New Contracts

  • SRS Eastern Cape has secured the Marltons business (pet accessories) in the Port Elizabeth area effective 1 March.
  • SRS Gauteng has secured the Melbro business (No-name DIY accessories) in the Shield, Friendly Grocer and OK Food Stores, effective 1 March.
